David Price continues dominant stretch

David Price was “disappointing” in his first season with the Boston Red Sox.

Price didn’t make his first start of the season until May 29.

Two decent starts followed, and after five outings, Price had a 2-1 record with a 5.14 ERA.

Then Price threw six shutout innings, and allowed two runs in another six.

In a game the Red Sox needed desperately after dropping two straight to the New York Yankees, Price dominated.

Price’s vintage start lowered his season ERA to 3.39.
